The time for the sea and the time to plan vacations. At early summer the doubt is always where to go, Italy, Europe or far away doesn’t matter as long as the water is blue, the destination is close to our tastes and within the reach of our budget. Today to make a destination the ideal destination is done as much by word of mouth, or maybe if we experienced it through a Netflix series or movie or saw photos on social or some travel magazine. According to one statistic this year, Italians prefer Italy or Europe for beach vacations, and that doesn’t always mean going to the most popular destinations, but rather choosing destinations that are still emerging or choosing to experience the more well-known ones in a somewhat novel way. We want to include in our Palma de Mallorca ranking, an ultra-tourist destination in the 1980s and 1990s, which then lost its appeal because it was considered too commercial, but recently has regained its prominence as one of the ideal destinations for a beach vacation. On this island, like all the Balearic islands, the climate is mild all year round, which already makes it an ideal destination. Palma de Mallorca is a true seaside paradise with its famous 5 beaches, its 8 beach areas and its nautical clubs and marinas. The most famous beach is that of Playa de Palma truly enchanting with its fine white sand and crystal clear sea, and also perfect for those who want to go shopping or enjoy the flavors of local cuisine in one of the many small restaurants along the waterfront. This wonderful archipelago of islands is considered the Hawaii of Europe for natural landscaping so striking and beautiful. The fact that for years, these islands have not been discovered by man as vacation destinations makes them today havens in which to escape to experience a relaxing, amazing and unforgettable sea vacation. The Azores islands are a still mostly untouched paradise, and the archipelago is one of the “World’s most sustainable tourist destinations.“The places here are really in forgettable and it’s not just beaches. There are natural pools amidst the rocks, protected coves and well-equipped seaside areas where you can swim safely to make the Azores Islands an ideal destination for those who want a truly unique out-of-the-ordinary vacation. If you love light sandy beaches, your island will be to Santa Maria, while if you prefer those with dark sand your ideal destination is the larger island São Miguel a paradise for surfers as well.

Among the seaside destinations again this summer, there is no shortage of Italy. It is difficult to choose which location to include in the ranking, because our country really has wonderful places. From Portofino to Santa Maria di Leuca, from Portovenere to Palau every seaside place is enchanting and unique. This also applies to the islands; it is very difficult to choose between Sardinia, the Pontine Islands, Capri and all the gems of the sea which one is the best. Definitely the Sicily always remains the queen of summer sea destinations. Sicily is the island of crystal clear sea and white beaches, at the same time of deep blue sea and black sand, the southernmost island of Italy is the land with incredible history and culture. the one that in summer also gives the opportunity to witness the Greek tragedies in the Valley of the Temples or in Taormina, is the island of citrus, orange blossom and gesolmino scents, juicy prickly pears and tasty arancini. Sicily is the ideal destination for those who want to be transported to a unique paradise and disconnect from everything. You will hardly ever see a sea like the one in San Vito lo Capo or the island of Conigli, few times does it happen that as soon as you leave an island and already you want to go back there as when you return from Sicily.
