This dance is the country’s true artistic and cultural expression, so strong that it has been declared a Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.. To have a truly enveloping and authentic experience in Seville you have to choose a place the flamenco shows is for locals. A place that may be difficult to find, but is truly precious is this little treasure that can be found in the Santa Cruz neighborhood. We are talking about the Carboneria, which in the past was a charcoal kiln, but now it is a perfect place to enjoy a wonderful flamenco show. La Carboneria is a place somewhere between a bar and a rehearsal hall where flamenco artists perform. The setting is very rustic, a few chairs and a makeshift stage at the back of the room. Here they drink only red wine or beer accompanied by a small glass filled with olives. An authentic experience and definitely one of the places to see the truest flamenco!
